M.S. Student in Mechanical Engineering (Robotics), Johns Hopkins University

I’m an M.S. student in Mechanical Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, where I work in the ARCADE Lab under the Laboratory for Computational Sensing and Robotics (LCSR).

Prior to this, I earned my bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Wuhan University of Science and Technology and worked as an Assistant Architect at Central South Architectural Design Institute. This background gave me a strong foundation in design thinking, systems-level problem solving, and cross-disciplinary collaboration that continues to inform my approach to engineering.

My research interests lie in autonomous systems, robot learning, and medical robotics, with a particular focus on AI-assisted robotic systems that integrate perception, planning, control, and interaction in real-world environments. I aim to develop robotic systems that are practical, robust, and human-centered.

I am actively seeking summer internship opportunities in robotics and AI, as well as Ph.D. opportunities for Fall 2027.

Selected Projects

Selected work spanning robot kinematics, control, haptics, and collaborative systems.
Each project reflects applied technical skills in planning, integration, and human-centered robotics.

Embodied Intelligence & Assistive Autonomy

Ongoing research in ARCADE Lab

Developing robotic and semi-autonomous systems to enhance human expertise in the operating room. My current work explores learning-based surgical manipulation for cyst resection, with a focus on perception, planning, and policy evaluation on surgical data.
